Sade Clarke focuses her practice on tax and estate planning, supported by a diverse legal background and a decade of prior professional experience as an Instructional Designer and Technical Writer. Before entering the legal field, she worked for over 10 years designing and delivering large-scale learning programs for major corporations like the The Walt Disney Company, and state and federal government, where she developed multimedia training platforms and corporate education initiatives. This experience sharpened her communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills—abilities she now brings to her law practice.
Sade began practicing law in 2023 as a student attorney in the UDC Law Clinical Program, where she achieved successful outcomes for all of her clients, securing tax collection alternatives, mediating contract disputes, and advising on business entity formation for cooperatives in Washington, D.C. She earned her J.D., cum laude, graduating early in 2025 from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law. During and after law school, she expanded her practice experience in both litigation and transactional work, building skills in tax law, consumer protection, negotiation, and business law. Her legal training also extended to intellectual property, where she gained experience managing trademark filings, conducting copyright research, and receiving patent law mentorship through the competitive Harrity & Harrity Patent Pathways Program.
Sade pursued advanced specialization by earning her LL.M. in Taxation with a Certificate in Estate Planning from Villanova University on a full scholarship, awarded in exchange for serving as the first Graduate Assistant to the Villanova Federal Tax Clinic. There, she co-authored a federal tax court brief, represented clients in disputes involving Innocent Spouse Relief, Clean Energy Credits, and Collection Alternatives, and mentored law students in client-centered advocacy. Alongside her clinic work, she completed rigorous coursework in taxation, estate planning, and business law, including trial advocacy, negotiations, partnership taxation, taxation of corporations and shareholders, and wealth tax.
Additionally, Sade has consistently sought out advanced legal trainings in trial advocacy, intellectual property, contracts, and tax controversy. As an eternal learner, she is committed to staying abreast of changes in the law to remain a sharp and zealous advocate for her clients. Today, her practice spans tax controversy, estate planning, consumer protection, business law, and intellectual property. She has represented clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities, counseled individuals and families on estate planning strategies, and advised businesses on entity formation, contract negotiation, and compliance.
